In love with West Ham?
Football is mercenary business. Players are bought and sold, mangers axed in an instant, players on the scrap heap for a single bad game.

The current vibe at West Ham is one of unity. We seem to have a squad who live together, and would die for one another. The cause is real.

It is obvious, in players like Mark Noble, that they love West Ham, and never want to leave. In recent weeks, interviews and clips have done the rounds of Dimi Paget saying he has never felt love from a fan base like he does with us. Slaven is a former player of the club who clearly understands the desire to a) play attractive football b) never say die c) win silverware.

But do we truly believe in the love the current staff (gaffer, players, squad) have for West Ham? Allardyce never seemed to form an affinity with the club, yet Slaven has. Have some of the players also?

Who do you believe truly loves West Ham, and who do you think will be the next player out the door when the big clubs come knocking? Is football all mercenary, or are we seeing true love for the claret and blue shirt right now?

The beauty of football is that you got to live in the present, nobody knows what will happen next.
Of all the beautiful times supporting the Irons, this year ranks up with 1972/73, 1975, 1980, 1980/81 and 1985/86 as my favourite years.
And who knows how great it will end

Allardyce could never grasp "being West Ham" having said that he done everything that was asked of him and he can take some credit for the squad that Bilic inherited. However the Bilic signings Payet, Lanzini, Antonio, Ogbonna etc have taken us to a different level. Foreign players will always be tagged as money grabbers giving the millions sloshing around these days. The so called big clubs will always buy a Payet or a Miraz out of spite from us lesser clubs.

As for the British players Noble, Collins, Cresswell, Antonio, Carroll and hopefully Byram will run through brick walls like Bonds, Lampard Snr, Stewart, Martin,Dicks and Mad Dog did in previous years for West Ham.

As previously mentioned let's just enjoy the roller coaster ride for now.

Oi drop it out I was born in Croydon (unfortunately)

For the first time in years it's great to see all the supporters under one umbrella, the energy and passion on the pitch is rubbing off on the supporters.

Good to see....long May it continue.

I've been a supporter for 52 years seen cup finals, relegation, promotion, big buys etc etc.

Arguably this is the best squad with most optimism I have seen.

It is a fucking great time to be supporting us. Arguably the best I have seen in my 46 years on this planet.

They will all move on for a bigger pay packet or retirement at some stage. Slaven and the board have built something very special and as for the apparent 'love' the players have for us right now? Enjoy it while we can, happy days.
